Main Responsibilities
- Independently arrange inspection plans (inline, outline, final) and write/send reports, including recommendations and innovations for improvement, to the merchandiser/manager within 24 hours.
- Autonomously design quality control processes related to specific products and provide actionable recommendations.
- Work independently and proactively to conduct scheduled quality controls, including PP sample checks, inline, outline, or final inspections, and provide advice to the factory to ensure product alignment with customer requirements.
- Discuss and explain quality matters effectively to stakeholders (clients, suppliers, or other QC teams).
- Collaborate with the merchandiser and supplier to address customer feedback and complaints, investigate quality issues, identify root causes, develop CAP (Correct Action Plan), and drive continuous improvement.
- Perform testing in compliance with standards such as BIFMA, ASTM, ISTA, ISO, EN, and other relevant furniture standards.
- Participate in new developments with the merchandisers/manager to ensure awareness of quality standards for the market and customer-specific requirements.
- Guide QC and factory teams in establishing processes and procedures, including first-piece reviews, moisture controls, critical testing, and production verifications.
- Supervise testing follow-ups, review testing results weekly, and report findings to the manager/merchandiser for subsequent actions.
- Oversee and provide feedback to third-party QC teams hired for extraordinary circumstances.
- Continuously train on compliance, quality standards, and certifications related to key products (lifestyle) and primary markets (Vietnam, Europe, USA).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business field or related.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Quality Control
- Experience in Home décor and Furniture would be an asset
- Good interpersonal & communication skills
- High level of autonomy and organizational skills
- Honest, proactive, social, creative
- Able to travel for trip long time and stay in factory to control quality
- Fluent in English and Vietnam
