Sourcing Specialist

1. Strategic Sourcing

• Develop and manage RFI/RFQ processes, assess quotes, and compile detailed cost breakdowns with strong data organization and analytical skills.
• Negotiate price, quantity, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers, leveraging data comparison and effective communication.
• Manage sample follow-up through project tracking, operational organization, and thorough sample evaluation.
• Generate comprehensive written reports and recommendations to guide final sourcing decisions.
• Segment and evaluate supplier performance to maintain strong, long-lasting relationships.

2. Industrial Mapping

• Conduct comprehensive industrial zone studies, analyzing key factors and trends to inform strategic sourcing decisions.
• Leverage data-driven insights and mapping techniques to identify and qualify potential suppliers and industrial zones across Vietnam and international markets.
• Facilitate impactful supplier audits, B2B meetings, and client-led factory/industrial zone visits, ensuring efficient data collection, organization, and comparative analysis.

3. Networking & Knowledge Sharing:

• Maintain and analyze data on relevant associations, institutions, and industry events.
• Generate insightful reports and recaps from fairs and events, contributing to public knowledge sharing.
• Participate in fairs, event and crafting insightful recaps for broader team and client dissemination.
• Publicly share industry expertise through events, presentations, and articles, building brand awareness and establishing you as a trusted resource.

4. SOA Representation:

• Proactively promote SoA’s image and services to external stakeholders.
• Staying informed about cross-functional/cross-department projects within SoA.

5. Assistance in Data Management

• Collect, key in, and analyze data related to areas, countries, industries and market for various studies when required.
• Creating dashboards and reports on the potential of areas, countries, industries and markets when required.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a sourcing or procurement role, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement cost-saving strategies.
• Proven negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent data analysis and reporting skills with proficiency in relevant software (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI is a plus).
• Understanding of international trade regulations and procedures, including Rule of Origin (ROO) compliance.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Fluency in English, with additional language skills is a plus.
