Main Responsibilities

The Market Development Representative for Malaysia is a critical role responsible for coordinating SOA’s business activities and projects in the Malaysian market. This position acts as a vital link between Malaysian clients/partners and the Vietnam-based team, ensuring business objectives are delivered professionally and effectively.


1. Client Project Management and Trade Promotion Services:

  • Responsible for managing and executing client service projects for SOA, covering the entire process from Market Research to critical B2B Matching activities in Malaysia.
  • Ensure that client projects focused on market entry support are executed efficiently, meeting the quality and objectives committed to the client.


2. Client Service Event Management:

  • Plan, organize, and manage various events on behalf of SOA’s clients in Malaysia, including: Delegation Events (business missions/exchanges) and Product/Service Launch Events.
  • Ensure events are successful, professional, and accurately reflect the brand image of both SOA and the client


3.Strategic Partnership Development: Build, expand, and maintain a broad, systematic, and robust partnership network in Malaysia (e.g., industry associations, government agencies, consulting firms) to effectively support client service projects.


4. Business Coordination and Reporting:

  • Work closely with the Business Development (BD) Team in Vietnam to draft, refine, and present business proposals for clients entering the Malaysian market.
  • Deliver monthly business performance and market intelligence reports related to Malaysia operations.
  • Coordinate with the Marcom Team to continuously promote SOA’s brand visibility in Malaysia. 

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Business Development (BD), Partnership Management, or Project Management in a B2B or trade promotion environment.
  • Professional working proficiency in English is mandatory, with Bahasa Malaysia highly valued, and Chinese (Mandarin) or Vietnamese are nice to have.
  • Must be Self-Reliant, Reliable, Professional, and Flexible in handling work and unexpected situations.
  • Deep understanding of Korean business culture, communication styles, and work ethics.
  • Prior experience living, studying, or working in both Vietnam and Malaysia is a plus.
  • Connections within Malaysian trade organizations, associations, or relevant industry sectors (e.g., technology, export/import) are a plus.
