About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated professional to support and gradually succeed a senior trading specialist who is currently responsible for our chemical trading business.

The candidate will initially work as an assistant under the guidance of an experienced senior employee, learning all aspects of international chemical trading. The candidate is expected to develop into a primary account manager and trading professional capable of independently managing business with suppliers and customers.

This role requires frequent communication with Tokyo headquarters, Vietnamese and Japanese suppliers and customers. Therefore, cross-cultural communication abilities are essential.

Working location: Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi, Vietnam

Key Responsibilities

1. Trading Operations Support

• Support the execution of chemical trading transactions from inquiry and quotation through delivery and payment.
• Coordinate closely with suppliers, customers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor contract performance and identify potential issues, risks, and business opportunities.

2. Documentation & Logistics

• Prepare, review, and manage commercial documents including: Sales contracts/Purchase orders/Quotations/Shipping documents/Customs and trade-related documentation etc.
• Support import/export procedures and logistics coordination.
• Ensure timely and accurate document flow throughout the transaction process.

3. Communication & Interpretation

• Serve as an interpreter and communication bridge between Tokyo Headquarters and Vietnamese/Japanese suppliers and customers. 
• Attend business meetings and negotiations and provide accurate interpretation when required.

4. Commercial Support

• Participate in discussions regarding pricing, commercial conditions, and business negotiations.
• Conduct market research and collect industry information related to chemical products.
• Prepare reports on market trends, customer activities, and potential business opportunities.

5. Career Development & Succession

• Learn trading know-how and customer management skills directly from a senior trader and gradually assume greater responsibility for customers, suppliers, and business development activity.

6. Collaboration & Other Assignments

• Support assignments designated by the Company and collaborate effectively with colleagues within the department, across departments, and with members of the HCM Branch.

Education: Bachelor's degree or above.

Language: Business-level English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
