- Lead improvement projects across the Asia supply base by providing chemical subject matter expertise to support new product development, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Work closely with sourcing, engineering, quality, and suppliers to ensure chemical-related materials, formulations, and finished products meet company specifications and market safety requirements.

- Manage chemical-focused suppliers, including supplier qualification, performance monitoring, process capability review, and compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

- Conduct supplier audits covering chemical controls, laboratory capability, quality systems, and manufacturing processes; drive corrective and preventive actions to closure.

- Define chemical criteria, product specifications, and manufacturing control requirements within the product development process; identify risks and recommend effective solutions.

- Supervise laboratory operations, including testing activities, laboratory equipment, and technician performance to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with established procedures.

- Review and validate test methods for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods to confirm product performance, safety, and compliance.

- Perform shipment inspections and investigate supplier quality issues using structured problem-solving tools to identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions.

- Ensure production test plans and chemical control programs are executed effectively at assigned suppliers.

- Verify supplier cleaning, sanitation, and contamination prevention programs are effective where applicable.

Decision Making Capabilities (List the three most important decisions made while performing the job).

- Determine compliance of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods with chemical, quality, and safety specifications.

- Select appropriate analytical and laboratory test methods to validate product performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.

- Define qualification criteria for new suppliers, processes, and laboratory controls, including chemical handling and sanitation effectiveness.

- B.S. degree in chemical or related majors.

- At least 5 years’ experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage onsite communication with factory’s technical & leadership team.

- Frequent travel within country & overseas.

- Knowledge of statistical methods.

- Ability to interpret product specifications and drawings.

- Work history of chemical test and manufacturing problem solving.

- Fluency in Vietnamese and English. Speaking Chinese is a plus.
