Main Responsibilities
The Market Development Representative for South Korea is a critical role responsible for coordinating SOA’s business activities and projects in the Korean market. This position acts as the vital link between Korean clients/partners and the Vietnam-based team, ensuring business objectives are met professionally and effectively.
1. Client Project Management and Trade Promotion Services:
- Responsible for managing and executing client service projects for SOA, covering the entire process from Market Research to critical B2B Matching activities in South Korea.
- Ensure that client projects focused on market entry support are executed efficiently, meeting the quality and objectives committed to the client.
2. Client Service Event Management:
- Plan, organize, and manage various events on behalf of SOA’s clients in South Korea, including: Delegation Events (business missions/exchanges) and Product/Service Launch Events.
- Ensure events are successful, professional, and accurately reflect the brand image of both SOA and the client.
3. Strategic Partnership Development: Establish, expand, and solidify a broad, systematic, and robust partnership network in South Korea (e.g., industry associations, government agencies, consulting firms) to effectively support client service projects.
4. Business Coordination and Reporting:
- Work closely with the Business Development (BD) Team in Vietnam to draft, refine, and present business proposals for client services to potential clients entering SK.
- Deliver monthly Business Performance Reports for SOA’s operations in the Korean market, including market intelligence updates.
- Coordinate with the Marcom Team to continuously promote SOA’s brand visibility.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Business Development (BD), Partnership Management, or Project Management in a B2B or trade promotion environment.
- Korean language: Fluency is mandatory (professional working proficiency in Listening-Speaking Reading-Writing) or Native Korean speaker. This is crucial for effective B2B matching and building trust in the Korean business context.
- English or Vietnamese language: Proficient communication skills are required for collaboration with the Vietnam team.
- Must be Self-Reliant, Reliable, Professional, and Flexible in handling work and unexpected situations.
- Deep understanding of Korean business culture, communication styles, and work ethics.
Nice-to-have:
- Prior experience living, studying, or working in both Vietnam and South Korea.
- Established network within Korean trade organizations, associations, or the relevant industry sector (e.g., tech, export/import).
